EXPRESSION OF LOVE AND THE STRUGGLE

Hello there! Thank you for taking time to read this blog. I know it has been a while since my last post and I am so sorry about that. At first the reason this long break started was partly because I wanted to get an explicit direction from God on what He wanted this platform to be about or specifically getting a word from God. But later the reason just became sheer laziness and partly spiritual malnutrition.

I have been struggling with building on my relationship with Him and trying to get even closer to Him and in the process lost myself. One of the major factors to this is struggle in maintaining a steady prayer life. I felt ungrateful because I found it hard to set out time in my very free day (thanks to this Pandemic), just to speak with God. This same God who is so intentional about all that I do and all that I am, who listens to my inner thoughts and still loves me in spite of them. I have come to realize that much like life in general, the Christain race is a journey filled with ups and downs. But the difference is we have the help of the Holy Spirit, we have to hold onto our Faith in Him. In times of doubt, remember all He has done in the past. In times we fall, remember He is not looking for someone perfect and that He is there to help us get back on track. Do not try to run this race alone, it would end in repeated failure. Continuously seek the help of the Holy Spirit.

[15] If you [really] love Me, you will keep and obey My commandments. [16] And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever [17] the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you. [18] I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, bereaved, and helpless]; I will come [back] to you.

I was talking to God about my struggle to express my love towards Him and basically asking for help in that area and He reminds me of this platform. So I have decided to use this platform to express my Love for God as best as I can. I started this blog with faith, with the aim to spread the word of God through this platform. I still am on this path but also using the way of Praise and expression of Love to show who He is to the world. He’s very intentional about us. I tend to believe that everything that happens to me, both good and bad, are expressions of God’s intentional love towards me. And as a result I have come to the conclusion that He is very much invested in who I am and what I do. I don’t mean just the major things, I also mean the little things, like something uplifting my spirit and making me smile when I’m down or a confirmation of his presence while I am praying.

At the moment of writing this post I am still struggling with maintaining a steady prayer life with Him, but I am writing this with faith that He would help me make this struggle a thing of the past. I love God and everything about Him, but I need (we all need) the Help of the Holy Spirit to express that Love to Him effectively. And I just want to pray that anyone going through similar struggles will receive help from the Holy Spirit to also make it a thing of the past.

God loves us so He sent His Son to bring us back to Him, Jesus loves us that’s why He died for us and the Holy Spirit loves us, so He helps us get closer to Him. But to get close to Him and know Him intimately, you must first surrender your life to Him, by making Jesus Christ Your Lord and Saviour. He won't just leave you to your own wisdom, He would show you the way to express your love to Him.
